Job summary
Punch Through is a design and engineering firm in Minneapolis, MN seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer intern. Start part-time in Spring, then full-time in Summer, with hybrid work in the Minneapolis area.
You will work on embedded software for connected devices, build and review architecture, and learn through hands-on projects using Arduino or Raspberry Pi, among others. The role welcomes sophomores/juniors pursuing CS/CE/EE with embedded emphasis, and values curiosity,
Qualifications
- Sophomore or Junior pursuing a BS in a technical field with embedded emphasis.
- Commit to 40 h/week in summer and 15–20 h/week during school.
- Experience with C and embedded development for microcontrollers.
- Experience with Git and team software development in a shared codebase.
- Experience with Python and wireless protocols (e.g., Bluetooth LE).
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for connected products.
- Learn new engineering topics and solve problems.
- Contribute to and review architecture design for embedded software projects.
- Deliver status updates to clients’ engineers and incorporate feedback.
- Contribute to design and product requirement specifications.
