Job summary

Verkada in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Mobile Software Engineering intern to join our team for an engaging internship. You will collaborate cross functionally to enable a native mobile experience in iOS and Android applications, supporting our security systems.

As part of the Mobile Engineering team, you will develop in Swift or Kotlin, work with backend APIs, and participate in iterative design, development, and testing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a CS degree with an expected graduation in 2026.
• Proficient in Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android, willing to learn both.
• Experience with multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Experience with backend server APIs.
• Strong UI development and unit testing skills.
• Solid CS fundamentals and problem solving.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support the full mobile app lifecycle (concept, design, test, and release) for iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features.
• Develop in Swift or Kotlin alongside backend work.
• Work in iterative sprints to design, develop, and test solutions.
• Contribute to build automation and testing to streamline development.
