Job summary

Crown Information Management is seeking a Mobile Shred Operator to join our Orlando-area team. You will operate shredding equipment mounted on a mobile unit and provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict confidentiality.

This field-based role requires a valid license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a pre-employment screen along with a DOT physical and ongoing random drug testing. Prior shredding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Background check and a DOT physical, plus random drug screening.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operate shredding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mobile shredding equipment to shred documents per standards.
• Drive the mobile shred truck to client locations within the service area.
• Interact professionally with clients to provide excellent service.
• Adhere to all company policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Document each shredding job accurately and completely.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on shredding equipment.
• Ensure safety of yourself, crew, and others around the shred area.
• Report equipment or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Job Title: Mobile Shred Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mobile Shred Operator to join our team. As a Mobile Shred Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the secure and efficient destruction of sensitive and confidential documents for our clients. You will operate shredding equipment mounted on a mobile unit and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our company’s commitment to confidentiality and security. This is a field-based position serving the Orlando area. There is no physical Crown office in Orlando. The mobile shredding truck is parked at a designated Orlando location, where you will pick up the truck at the start of your day and return it upon completion of your route.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain mobile shredding equipment to shred documents in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Drive the mobile shred truck to client locations within the designated service area.
• Interact professionally with clients to provide an excellent customer service experience.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to document destruction and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Complete all necessary documentation for each shredding job, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on shredding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure the safety of yourself, your team, and those around the shredding area at all times.
• Report any issues with equipment or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening
• Background check and a DOT physical, as well as on going random drug screening
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy bags and boxes of documents.
• Experience in a similar role or with shredding equipment is a plus.
• CDL License preferred; non-CDL applicants with relevant driving experience will also be considered.
