Job summary

Peak Industrial Company is seeking a Mobile/Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Boise, ID. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, reconditioning, and maintaining customer heavy equipment and components, with a competitive hourly rate and full benefits including a 401K.

The technician will work from a service truck, shop yard, and customer sites, reading schematics and generating accurate service reports while ensuring safety and up-to-date tooling knowledge.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in electrical, drivetrain, engines, hydraulics and computer controlled systems.
• High School Diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs; DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work out of a service truck in the shop yard and at customer sites.
• Repair heavy equipment engines and components.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Prepare inspection, appraisal, and service reports.
