Job summary

Peak Industrial Inc. is seeking an experienced Mobile/Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, recondition and maintain customer equipment. This role involves working from a service truck, in the shop yard, and on customer sites with a competitive hourly rate and full benefits.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in electrical, drivetrain, engines and hydraulics, plus the ability to read schematics and prepare clear service reports. A valid driver’s license and DOT readiness are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics and computer controlled systems.
• High School Diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; able to pass DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Work out of a service truck in the shop yard and at customer sites.
• Repair heavy equipment engines and components; read schematics (electrical and hydraulic).
• Prepare inspection and appraisal reports; charge time to correct work orders.
• Prepare accurate service reports and ensure timely submission.
• Communicate with Service Writer/Shop Manager about repairs and status.
• Collaborate with team to meet shop and company goals.
• Maintain and repair equipment and components; perform disassembly/assembly as needed.
• Order replacement parts and verify accuracy of orders.
• Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems; diagnose malfunctions.

Job Title:Mobile/Shop HeavyEquipment Mechanic

Peak JCB is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team! We are offering a competitive salary with full benefits including a 401K.

The technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul and maintenance of customer heavy equipment and/or components.

Responsibilities:

• Able to work out of a service truck in our shop yard and on customer job sites
• Repairs heavy equipment engine and components
• Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports
• Correctly charges work to appropriate work order segments
• Prepares accurate and complete service reports and turns in on time
• Communicates effectively with Service Writer, and/or Shop Manager to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on
• Works in a cooperative manner with other team members to accomplish the goals of the shop and the company
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components
• Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts
• Orders replacement parts, ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of order
• Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components
• Diagnoses and Repairs machine and engine malfunctions and failures
• Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems
• Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics and computer controlled systems.
• High School Diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Capable of communicating effectively and professionally with customers
• Maintain Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR & ability to pass DOT physical
