POSITION SUMMARY

Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment to ensure safe, productive operations at customer sites. The role impacts customer relations, equipment diagnosis, and failure repairs, requiring professionalism, service training, and developing new business relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect trucks/equipment for condition, operation, parts, and fluids
• Check, fill, and change fluids for engine, transmission, differentials, hubs, etc.
• Lubricate components during preventive maintenance
• Adjust various systems as needed
• Maintain/change filters (air, oil, coolant, fuel)
• Perform cooling system maintenance
• Identify and diagnose problems
• Complete repairs and preventive maintenance
• Check safety equipment
• Drive trucks in/out of repair area
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Complete paperwork, document parts and time usage
• Represent company values and adhere to employee policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift, carry, push/pull at least 50 pounds
• Climb into/out of trucks
• Work outdoors

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Valid driver’s license
• Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days
• High school diploma or GED
• Prior mechanic experience
• Automotive certification
• Experience with medium/heavy trucks is preferred
