Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days is required.
  • Prior mechanic experience and automotive certification preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on all types of trucks and/or equipment to maximize safe and productive operations on site at customer’s locations. This position will impact customer relations, equipment diagnosis, and failures of a motor vehicle and/or its related equipment.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspects trucks and/or equipment for condition, operation, parts, and fluid levels.
  • Checks, fills, and changes out appropriate fluids for all vehicle parts.
  • Greases, oils, and lubricates components during preventive maintenance service.
  • Performs adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service.
  • Maintains and/or changes air, oil, coolant, and fuel filters.
  • Performs cooling systems maintenance.
  • Identifies and designates problems.
  • Completes necessary repair and preventive maintenance work.
  • Checks safety equipment on truck and/or equipment.
  • Drives truck in and out of repair area.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes required paperwork and documents parts and material usage.
  • Represents the Company Core Values and adheres to the guidelines of the Employee handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift, carry and push/pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Climb into and out of truck.
  • Work in the outside environment.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.

Preferred:

  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D certification.
  • Prior mechanic experience.
  • Automotive certification.
  • Service Excellence classification: medium/heavy truck.
