Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Mobile Technician I in Washington to perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks and trailers with limited supervision. This role includes shop work between service calls and may require participation in an after‑hours on‑call rotation for the location.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of basic maintenance/repair experience on class 7 & 8 trucks, a valid driver’s license, and your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Diesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required.
• 1+ years’ experience with basic maintenance/repair on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test drive vehicles and components to verify repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair exhaust, steering, and air conditioning systems.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and service truck.

This technician will also work in the shop between service calls. They may also be asked to participate in the after-hour on-call rotation for the location, if needed.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.Maintain 80% productivityLimit comebacks to zeroRepair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories).Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment.Troubleshoot and repair, exhaust systems, steering systems, air conditioning.Record final measurements, services and parts used during the last stage of a job, noting any special customer request(s).File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.Maintain a clean and organized workspace and service truck.Practice safe driving.EDUCATION & TRAININGHigh school diploma or GEDDiesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE1 + years of experience with basic maintenance/repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailersSKILLS & ABILITIESValid driver’s license with good driving record required.Class A CDL is preferred, but not required.Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox.Maintain perfect safety recordAbility to lift 50lbs.WORKING CONDITIONS Exposure to Inside/Outside Conditions, Extreme Temperatures (average of 100 Degrees F), Humid Conditions, Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Equipment Noise, Work in enclosed and confined spaces.The annualized pay ranges vary based on work location.
