Job summary

Leif Johnson Ford in Austin, TX is seeking a Mobile Service Technician who can work independently, travel to customer workplaces and homes, and perform basic service needs and recalls. The role emphasizes strong service technician background and a startup mentality to grow the business.

The position involves coordinating with the Mobile Service Advisor and dealership teams, staying current with Ford technical bulletins, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Requires little or no guidance on jobs.
• Valid driver license.
• Service Technician experience preferred.
• Strong use of technological devices including tablets.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty and have a natural disposition to put the customer first
• Engage with many different customers each day and represent the dealership while being calm and responsive
• Organize and prepare for the days appointments and be excellent at time management
• Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order in a clean and efficient manner
• Communicate with the Mobile Service Advisor, Parts Department and Dealer Management regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication
• Accurately document vehicle repairs/work performed on the repair order
• Stay informed of Ford technical bulletins and complete required training
• Able to work occasionally in challenging weather conditions
• Able to drive and maintain a company vehicle responsibly
• Take pride in the role and bring a start-up mentality to growing the business
