Job summary

Williams Ford of Binghamton is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join our growing team. The role involves traveling in the Mobile Service van to customer workplaces and homes for basic service needs and recalls, with emphasis on customer-first service.

The candidate should be independent with a strong service background; B-level or higher qualifications are preferred, ASE/Ford certifications are desirable, and tablet-based tech will be used daily.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Requires little or no guidance on jobs.
• ASE/Manufacturer certifications are preferred.
• Ford certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong use of tablets and mobile tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
• Engage with many customers daily and represent the dealership.
• Organize and prepare for the day’s appointments; manage time well.
• Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance per the repair order.
• Document repairs/work accurately on the order and communicate with teams.
• Stay informed of Ford technical bulletins and training.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Drive and maintain the company vehicle responsibly.

Responsibilities:

• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty and have a natural disposition to put the customer first
• Engage with many different customers each day and represent the dealership while being calm and responsive
• Organize and prepare for the day’s appointments and be excellent at time management
• Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order in a clean and efficient manner
• Communicate with the Mobile Service Coordinator, Parts Department and Dealer Management regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication
• Accurately document vehicle repairs/work performed on the repair order
• Stay informed of Ford technical bulletins and complete required training
• Able to work occasionally in challenging weather conditions
• Able to drive and maintain a company vehicle responsibly
• Take pride in the role and bring a start-up mentality to growing the business
