Job summary

24 Ford of Easton seeks a mobile service technician to service customer sites, used lots, and local auctions. You will travel in the mobile service van, perform repairs and maintenance, and communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to keep jobs moving smoothly.

The role emphasizes independence, problem solving on the road, and a strong customer service focus. ASE certifications are preferred, and Ford-related training kept up to date.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong note-taking and documentation.
• Valid driver license required for field travel and driving company vehicles.
• ASE/Manufacturer certifications are desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
• Engage with many different customers each day and represent the dealership.
• Organize and prepare for the day’s appointments.
• Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order in a clean and efficient manner.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Accurately document vehicle repairs/work performed on the repair order.
• Stay informed of Ford technical bulletins and complete required training.
• Able to work occasionally in challenging weather conditions.
• Able to drive and maintain a company vehicle responsibly.

Job description

We are looking for a Mobile Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and be ASE certified. Previous experience is preferred but not required. The day-to-day duties include traveling in the Mobile Service van to customer workplaces, used vehicle lots, and local auctions to handle basic service needs and recalls.

We currently have three Mobile Service vehicles in our fleet, and we have just placed an order for a fourth vehicle. We are looking for a good candidate who wants to work on his or her own. The position leaves room for independent planning throughout the day and the ideal person for the position will enjoy being on the road and problem solving on their own.
