Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Service Manager to run the branch's Mobile Maintenance Department, ensuring safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will plan and direct department activities, hire and develop staff, coordinate with Parts Managers, and promote the department to grow labor sales while complying with DOT and safety rules.

This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced diesel truck

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum of four years' experience in related field.
• Must display excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Requires previous supervisory experience.
• Must have positive can-do attitude.
• Must have strong work ethics and commitment to extra hours when needed

Responsibilities

• Establish short- and long-term operating and financial objectives for the Mobile Maintenance Department.
• Plan, direct, and control department activities to meet growth and profit objectives.
• Hire, train and develop mobile maintenance personnel; ensure appropriate staffing.

• Coordinate warranty claims and relate policies with customers and vendors.

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Mobile Maintenance Service Manager. The role of the Mobile Maintenance Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branch's Mobile Maintenance Department in compliance with established policies and procedures. Plans, directs, and controls the activities of the Mobile Maintenance Department to ensure overall growth and profit objectives are met. Formulates the major objectives, specific plans, plan procedures and programs for the Mobile Maintenance Department; evaluates the department's results and performance against objectives. Maintains the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving the customer and identifying their needs.

• Within the Company's overall plans and policies, establishes short- and long-term operating and financial objectives for the Mobile Maintenance Department including formulating annual and monthly sales and profit objectives as well as expense budgets in accordance with company objectives.
• Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied within the department.
• Reviews and appraises the results of activities within the department and takes appropriate action as necessary.
• Responsible for hiring, training and developing of all mobile maintenance personnel. Ensures that department is appropriately staffed.
• Works with Parts Manager and outside sales force in a proactive way to improve labor sales efforts of outside sales force. Travels with outside sales force, mobile technicians and on own to customer locations on a regular basis promoting Mobile Maintenance Department and dealership.
• Maintains appropriate communication within and between all departments within the branch.
• Promotes safe work habits and ensures that safety rules are followed. Ensures mobile truck fleet is properly maintained and complies with all safety and DOT requirements.
• Develops and maintains policies and practices which will ensure positive employee and customer relations. Is familiar with the activities of competition, market conditions and department operation keeps the Branch Manager informed.
• Coordinates the processing of warranty claims with Warranty Manager and administers warranty and policy adjustments in the most fair and honest manner for the customer, dealership and vendor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a Supervisor
