Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Mobile Grader to safely operate equipment and inspect, sort, and grade scrap metals to keep yard operations efficient. You will verify material quality, classify items accurately, and assist customers and drivers in unloading areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in scrap recycling, metals, construction, or heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to identify materials and classify according to standards.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer or mobile device skills for recording information.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, identify, and grade ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials.
• Operate mobile equipment to move, sort, and stockpile materials.
• Verify incoming and outgoing materials for quality and classification.
• Communicate with yard staff and drivers about material grades and loads.
• Direct customers and drivers to unloading areas.
• Maintain records of graded materials and report discrepancies.
