Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking professional Retail Area Support Officers to back multiple supermarket locations. This mobile role requires flexibility, delivering high-profile security while maintaining excellent customer service.

You will patrol store floors, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and liaise with management to address risks. Travel between sites and shifts across evenings, weekends, and bank holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS / BS7858 clearance required.
• SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) valid.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle useful.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols of shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports in a timely manner.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate confrontations calmly and safely.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal and client procedures.
• Travel between sites and support wider security operations.
