Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. The role is mobile and multi-site, requiring flexibility to cover varying shifts and sites while protecting people, property, and stock with a strong customer-service focus.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and liaise with store teams to mitigate risks. A valid SIA licence, DBS clearance, and a driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence (DS or Security Guarding) required.
• Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Retail security or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct patrols across shop floors, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies promptly.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports in a timely manner.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate situations calmly and safely; ensure health and safety compliance.
• Travel between sites and support wider security operations.
