Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking mobile retail security officers to cover multiple supermarket sites. You will deter theft, protect people and stock, and deliver excellent customer service while moving between locations based on operational needs.

The ideal candidate holds a valid SIA licence (DS or SG), is willing to travel between sites, and can pass enhanced DBS/BS7858 checks. Right to work in the UK is required and a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Previous experience in retail security or customer-facing roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policy and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention.
• Produce clear, accurate incident reports in a timely manner.
• Deliver a professional, approachable customer experience and assist queries.
• De-escalate conflicts calmly and safely.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal, and client procedures.
• Travel between sites as required to support wider security operations.
