Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Response Peer Support Specialist to join the Napa crisis team. This entry‑level role provides peer support under supervision, engaging individuals in recovery and building relationships across community settings.

The MRT team delivers crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and stabilization, serving Napa County locations including residences, schools, shelters, hospitals, and parks. Commitment to recovery and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mental health or SUD lived experience.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification or ability to obtain after hire within agreed time frame.
• 80-hour Peer Support Learning or equivalent completed within 90 days of hire.
• Current techniques of behavioral intervention training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support during mobile crisis in Napa County.
• Mentor, advocate for people in recovery, and build relationships.
• Assist with crisis de‑escalation and stabilization per MRT protocols.
• Collaborate with supervising LMFT/LCSW/LPCC during care.

Title: Mobile Response Peer Support Specialist

Schedule: Full-Time

Job Duties:

The Peer Support Specialist is an entry‑level role designated to provide peer support work under the direct supervision of an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for assisting and supporting individuals in a mobile crisis in our Mobile Response Program. The Peer Support Specialist will engage in a range of activities to support individuals seeking recovery from substance abuse disorder, mental illness, or both. Activities may include mentoring, advocating for people in recovery, and building relationships. The Crestwood Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides community‑based interventions for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Our team is available to deploy into the community to provide crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and stabilization. The MRT is staffed by Licensed/Registered Mental Health Counselors and Peer Support Specialists who can provide services throughout Napa County, including residences, parks, shelters, schools, and hospitals. The goal of MRT is to de‑escalate the crisis and safely connect individuals with mental health care and resources.

About the Campus

Crestwood's Mobile Crisis Services program through our Napa Crisis Stabilization Unit provides crisis services as part of a 24‑hour crisis response continuum of care. Our program services are centered on crisis stabilization that utilizes evidence‑based practices and features peer support. Our Mobile Crisis Services include screening, assessment, stabilization, de‑escalation, follow up, and coordination with healthcare services and other supports.

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.

Pay Range

$23—$24.17 USD
