Job summary

PRN Medical Laboratory is seeking a Mobile Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging using portable radiographic equipment across multiple sites in the San Antonio area.

The role involves travel to skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, rehab hospitals, assisted living facilities, and patient homes to provide imaging services with emphasis on patient safety and image quality.

Qualifications

• LMRT/ARRT certification is required or in progress.
• Hands-on clinical internship experience during the degree program.
• Ability to pass required LMRT/ARRT exams within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images following imaging protocols.
• Safely transport and operate mobile imaging equipment at various locations.
• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring proper positioning and safety.
• Limit exposure by shielding non-target areas during procedures.
• Coordinate with facility staff to assist patients with limited mobility.
• Calibrate equipment and document imaging results accurately.
• Maintain sterilization and routine maintenance of radiographic gear.
• Safely operate a vehicle to travel between sites.
