Smith Pump Company, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Tech to inspect, troubleshoot, and operate mobile pump service rigs. You will perform pump removal, installation, startup, and maintenance for water and wastewater pumps, traveling about 75% across Texas.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service technician or mechanic.
• Understanding of water pumps or electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive a commercial vehicle daily to job sites.
• Five years of pump field service experience (preferred).
• Certified Pump Installer by TX licensing board (preferred).
• Microsoft Office proficiency (preferred).
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pump troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Teardown, inspection, reporting, and repair of pumps in the shop.
• Maintenance and repair of tools and equipment.
• Read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
