Job summary

Genesis Reference Laboratories seeks a compassionate phlebotomist to join our field team, traveling between long-term care communities in the Phoenix area to collect blood and urine specimens for the lab. You’ll be the face of the lab, ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and proper documentation in our LIS/EMR workflows.

You’ll perform venipunctures, handle specimen labeling and chain-of-custody, and support courier logistics as needed, with a focus on quality and timely results.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct patient care and phlebotomy.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with LIS/EMR systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel between LTC communities daily to collect blood and urine specimens.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collections with care and professionalism.
• Use LIS system for patient entry, orders and documentation; ensure proper labeling and chain of custody.
