Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomy professional to monitor daily activities and scheduling for home phlebotomy, house calls, and long-term care requests. You will perform venipunctures and collect specimens, register patients, and coordinate mobile phlebotomy staffing with professionalism and care.

Strong communication with customers, patients and families, physician offices, and colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens for testing.
• Collects other specimens and explains proper collection procedures.
• Clarifies orders and pre-analytical test requirements when appropriate.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of registration, scheduling and tracking software.
• Answers scheduling inquiries for Home Phlebotomy, House Calls and Long-Term Care facilities.
• Provides on-call and mobile service as required.
• Assists in orientation/training of new staff members.
