Job Description

Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. Treat all customers courteously. Ensure all urine, oral fluid, and phlebotomy specimens are collected accurately and on time.

  1. Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  2. Complete requisitions accurately.
  3. Process and package specimens for transport. Maintain required records and documentation.
  4. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, including Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, and others.
  5. Maintain all appropriate collection logs.
  6. Submit accurate expense forms as applicable, demonstrating organizational commitment.
  7. Adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean at all times.
  8. Report to work on time, following attendance guidelines.
  9. Answer the telephone politely, incorporating the company name and helpful statements.
  10. Communicate appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
  11. Keep information confidential per company policies.
  12. Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor, remaining polite and courteous.
  13. Keep work area neat and clean; dispose of biohazard containers properly.
  14. Assist with inventories and other assigned tasks.
  15. Stock supplies as needed.
  16. Perform clerical duties related to the department when assigned.
  17. Answer phones and dispatch calls as needed.
  18. Participate in teams and special projects when asked.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
