Join to apply for the Mobile Phlebotomist (MAKO) role at Mako Medical.

Description

Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. Treat all customers courteously. Ensure all urine and oral fluid specimens, as well as phlebotomy specimens, are collected accurately and on time.

  1. Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  2. Complete requisitions accurately.
  3. Process and package specimens for transport. Maintain required records and documentation.
  4. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures (e.g., Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Automobile Policies, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual).
  5. Maintain all appropriate collection logs.
  6. Submit accurate expense forms, if applicable, on the required day. Demonstrate organizational commitment.
  7. Adhere to departmental and company grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean at all times.
  8. Report to work on time, following attendance guidelines.
  9. Answer the telephone in a friendly and helpful manner, incorporating the company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement.
  10. Communicate appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
  11. Keep information confidential per company and procedural policies.
  12. Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor, remaining polite and courteous at all times.
  13. Keep work area neat and clean. Dispose of biohazard containers as scheduled.
  14. Assist with inventories and other assigned tasks.
  15. Stock supplies as needed.
  16. Perform department-related clerical duties when assigned.
  17. Answer phones and dispatch calls when assigned.
  18. Participate in teams and special projects as asked.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
