Job summary

Biodesix is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist (Independent Contractor) to collect samples at patients' homes or workplaces in Petoskey, Traverse City, and Gaylord, MI. The role includes venipuncture and nasal swab collection, with virtual training provided and supplies furnished.

Responsibilities include timely patient contact, scheduling, coordination with the office, proper sample handling and shipping, and invoicing for draws.

Qualifications

• Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
• Minimum of 1 full year of phlebotomy within the last 3 calendar years.
• Strong verbal and written communication for client interaction and issue reporting.
• Ability to follow procedures and exercise judgment in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Contact each patient within 24 hours.
• Prompt scheduling of appointments (1 to 3 days).
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling or draw issues.
• Specimen collection adhering to kit instructions precisely.
• Samples packed and shipped the same day using provided FedEx materials.
• Prompt invoicing of draws for payment.
