Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to collect blood samples in Alexandria, VA, visiting patient homes and skilled nursing/assisted living communities. The role offers part-time, flexible schedules and independent work with mileage reimbursement.

Candidates should have phlebotomy certification preferred and at least one year of experience, with strong venipuncture skills and excellent patient care. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Clean criminal history; background checks may apply.
• Home Draws: 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required for Home Draw team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Passion for safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Alexandria, VA.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with laboratory and facility personnel.
