6 Degrees Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Vancouver, WA. The role involves float assignments across Portland, Beaverton, and Gresham with mileage reimbursement. Hours vary, typically 6am–6pm, Mon-Fri, with a focus on pediatric and geriatric specimens.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, plus clean driving record and reliable transportation. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and document maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand and follow physicians' orders precisely.
• Match requisitions to tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
