Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Client Office Phlebotomist-Float to perform phlebotomy across hospital and client sites in central and southern Illinois. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with Monday–Friday 8am–5:30pm and rotating weekends.

Flexibility for earlier/later hours is required. You will drive to client sites in Marion, Peoria, Bloomington, and Decatur, with float differential included in base pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized organization or training is required or one or more years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Identifies need for patient medical assistance and calls codes as appropriate.
• Reviews refrigerator temperatures and QC/QA records; reports findings as needed.
• Label and process specimens according to established protocols and policies.
• Procure blood specimens from infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair bound patients.
