Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous phlebotomy experience required or preferred.
• Knowledge of patient identification practices.
• Familiarity with blood draw safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize requests by urgency for sample collection.
• Collect patients’ personal information and confirm identity.
• Determine venipuncture method for each patient.
• Provide reassurance during collection and maintain patient comfort.
• Use sterile needles and vials to draw blood.
• Label samples correctly and send to testing.
