Mobile Phlebotomist

Early morning Routes, On-Call, and Home Draw opportunities

American Health Associates, a premier clinical laboratory predominantly servicing the long-term care industry, has immediate job opportunities for mobile Phlebotomists. Due to continued growth, we are looking for dedicated mobile phlebotomists to join our team, where your contributions truly matter. Job Responsibilities
  1. Follow established phlebotomy procedures for obtaining samples from patients.
  2. Properly and accurately identify all patients daily according to AHA’s patient identification policy prior to collection.
  3. Ensure specimens are properly labeled, in the correct tube, and accompanied by a completed requisition before transport.
  4. Follow AHA’s policy on transporting PHI.
  5. Maintain a positive attitude and concern for patient and staff safety, providing quality patient care, especially under time-sensitive blood draw requirements.
  6. Understand and respect resident rights, patient care, and the right to refuse treatment.
  7. Obtain blood specimens from patients under various conditions.
  8. Coordinate with dispatch, payroll, laboratory, and courier departments.
  9. Possess knowledge of medical terminology related to laboratory procedures.
  10. Understand specimen preservation, patient preparation, and specimen procedures.
  11. Work independently with minimal supervision and maintain accurate timesheet records.
  12. Maintain all equipment in good condition and report issues immediately.
  13. When on duty, promptly respond to company-issued mobile devices, check-in/out of client facilities, and be ready to work.
  14. Complete and submit logs, timesheets, and records accurately and promptly.
  15. Hold a current and valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
  16. Own a reliable vehicle suitable for daily driving.
  17. Maintain a good driving record.
  18. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks professionally and efficiently.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
  3. Valid state-issued Driver’s License; at least 21 years old.
  4. Clean driving record for the past 5 years; proof of auto insurance (100/300/100).
  5. Clean criminal background; some states require additional background checks, including fingerprinting.
  6. Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited school or equivalent (preferred).
  7. For Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience; additional credentialing required before working on our Home Draw team.
  8. Passion for safety and customer service.
