Job summary

A healthcare service provider in Key Largo is seeking a part-time Mobile Phlebotomist to work as an independent contractor. Responsibilities include obtaining vitals, drawing blood, and ensuring accurate patient records while traveling to patients' locations for appointments. Candidates must have proven phlebotomy experience and valid transportation. This role offers bi-weekly pay based on appointments, along with some covered travel expenses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance are mandatory.
• Must be computer proficient with internet access.
• Proficient with computers, internet access, and printing/scanning documents.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vitals, blood, urine, EKGs, and medical history.
• Travel to patient locations for sample collection.
• Maintain accurate patient records for testing.

Job Details

• The candidate/phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining vitals, drawing blood, urine, EKG, and medical history.
• The candidate will travel to the patient’s location for appointments.
• Paid per appointment/event, this is not an hourly or salary‑paid position.
• Bi‑weekly Pay.
• Some travel expenses are covered depending on the location of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to specified locations to obtain samples as required.
• Disinfecting extraction sites using alcohol swabs.
• Gathering mandatory information from patients and verifying their identities.
• Obtaining vitals, blood, urine, EKGs, and medical history.
• Accurately labeling all samples.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, which include detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experienced phlebotomist.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid auto insurance.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
• Knowledge regarding HIPAA/PHI law.
• Detail‑oriented/sound organizational skills.
• Professional, responsible, and self‑starter with excellent attention to detail and good penmanship.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be computer proficient, have internet access, and a printer/scanner: to print, scan, and upload completed documents.
