Job summary

A Nationwide Mobile Health Service is seeking a Part-time Mobile Phlebotomist. The role involves traveling to patients' locations to obtain blood, urine, and medical history samples. Candidates must have proven phlebotomy experience, a valid driver's license, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include disinfecting extraction sites, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA/PHI laws. This is an independent contractor role with pay per appointment and some travel expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Professional and responsible with good penmanship.
• Computer proficiency with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Travel to specified locations for blood draws and other samples.
• Disinfect extraction sites using alcohol swabs.
• Gather and verify patient information and identities.
• Label all samples accurately.
• Maintain patient records concerning venipuncture procedures.

Job Details

• The candidate/phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining vitals, drawing blood, urine, EKG, and medical history.
• The candidate will travel to the patient's location for appointments.
• Paid per appointment/event, this is not an hourly or salary‑paid position.
• Bi‑Weekly Pay.
• Some travel expenses are covered depending on the location of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to specified locations to obtain samples above as required.
• Disinfecting extraction sites using alcohol swabs.
• Gathering mandatory information from patients and verifying their identities.
• Obtaining vitals, blood, urine, EKGs, and medical history.
• Accurately labeling all samples.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, which include detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experienced phlebotomist.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid Auto Insurance.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
• Knowledge regarding HIPAA/PHI law.
• Detail‑oriented/sound organizational skills.
• Professional, responsible, and self‑starter with excellent attention to detail and good penmanship.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be computer proficient, have internet access, and a printer/scanner: to print, scan, and upload completed documents.
