Job summary

Tractor Supply Company seeks a Pet Health Assistant to support VIP Petcare clinics. You will assist with patient intake, vaccines, microchips, and customer service, while driving mobile clinics and maintaining sanitation.

This role requires reliability, a valid driver’s license, and strong teamwork. The position emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication with pet parents, teammates, and clinic partners.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and VIP Petcare Pass MVR Check
• Previous customer service sales experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Collect payment, dispense and label medication, and review discharge paperwork with pet parents
• Safely restrain/hold pets for wellness procedures including vaccines, nail trims and microchipping
• Collect and prepare blood and fecal samples for laboratory testing
• Drive vans to and from clinics responsibly; load and unload the vans (Community Clinics)
• Promote services and products to every pet based on lifestyle and canine/feline disease knowledge
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting surfaces and equipment
• Execute inventory processes and manage expiration dates for vaccines and products
• Provide customer service to pet parents through the clinic process
• Achieve goals set by manager including dollars per pet and pets per clinic
• Scan pets for microchips and prepare canine and feline vaccines
• Establish and maintain relationships with pet parents and partners
• Other duties as assigned
