Job summary

Interfaith Community Services in Escondido, CA is seeking a Mobile Certified Peer Support Specialist to provide safe transportation and integrated peer support for clients in the RWC Withdrawal Management program. The role blends peer support with transport duties, promoting recovery, independence and engagement with community services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CalMHSA Peer Support Certification required.
• 1+ year recovery experience required.
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation for participants to and from medical appointments and program activities.
• Incorporate peer support, recovery coaching and mentoring during transport.
• Maintain transportation calendar and communicate changes to clients and staff.
• Assist clients on and off the vehicle and manage route timing to ensure timely arrivals.
