Job summary

Interfaith Community Services in Escondido, CA is seeking a Mobile Certified Peer Support Specialist who will combine peer support with transportation duties for participants in the RWC Withdrawal Management program. This hybrid role involves providing trauma-informed support during trips to medical appointments and community services.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, CalMHSA Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification, 1+ year recovery experience, and a valid CA driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be certified as a Peer Support Specialist by the CalMHSA program.
• 1+ year experience with recovery from mental illness or substance use disorder.
• Valid CA driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation for clients to medical appointments and services.
• Deliver peer support and recovery coaching during transport.
• Maintain transportation calendar and communicate schedule changes.
• Assist clients on/off vehicle and ensure safety during trips.
• Complete documentation per program guidelines and maintain records.
