Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. seeks a Mobile Pediatric and Adult Sonographer (Echo) for per diem assignments.

You will travel to patient homes, set up portable ultrasound equipment, and perform echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring patient safety and data quality. Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in adult and pediatric patients.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Valid driver's license with willingness to travel locally/regionally.

Responsibilities

Mobile Pediatric and Adult Sonographer (Echo) - Per Diem

Travel to patient homes to conduct visits

Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment

• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant

Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients

• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging

Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines

Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review

Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments

Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards

Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment

WHAT YOU BRING | REQUIREMENTS

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ( RDCS) from ARDMS , or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI .

Certification in Adult (AE) is required, Pediatric (PE) certification not required but a plus

3+ years of recent sonography experience, in both adult and pediatrics

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally

Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required; Tech savvy and self sufficient with digital tools

Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings

Excellent patient communication and bedside manner

Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
