Job summary

Alliance Family Services in the Chicago Region seeks a Sidewalk Outreach Nurse to engage women outside abortion facilities and connect them with compassionate alternatives through our mobile ministry. The role blends nursing care, patient education, crisis intervention, and outreach across clinics and mobile programs.

The successful candidate will hold an Illinois RN license, be CPR certified, and may have sonography training. Ultrasound training is provided by the organization.

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in good standing in Illinois.
• Sonography certification preferred but not required; ultrasound training provided by Alliance Family Services.
• CPR certification as healthcare provider or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication and professional interaction with patients, staff, volunteers, churches, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Engage women and families outside abortion facilities in a peaceful, professional manner.
• Educate about available medical services, programs, and alternatives to abortion.
• Facilitate appointments for pregnancy testing, ultrasound, STI testing, and nurse consultations.
• Build trust and assist access to appropriate care and resources.
