Job summary

Together Women's Health, LLC in Chicago offers an opportunity for a part-time Sonographer to join The Northwestern Specialists for Women. You will acquire ultrasound images used in medical diagnoses and work within a collaborative care team to support OB/GYN patients.

The role requires ARDMS certification and graduating from an approved ultrasound program; experience in an OB/GYN setting is preferred. Monday, Thursday and Friday shifts 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certified and in good standing.
• Experience in an OB/GYN setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner.

Responsibilities

• Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met
• Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures, explaining equipment, and answering questions
• Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to physician
• Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards and procedures
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures
• Documents patient ultrasound services by completing patient record charting
• Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned
