Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a licensed Optometrist for a full-time or part-time role serving Asheville, NC and surrounding communities. You’ll join a mobile practice with an established patient base while HealthDrive handles scheduling, billing, and administration so you can focus on delivering high-quality eye care.

This role offers flexibility, clinical autonomy, and a generous earning potential with no evenings, weekends, or holiday call. Daily travel is required to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Optometry background with proficiency in assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of eye conditions.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use EMR and related software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive exams, diagnose, treat and manage eye diseases and disorders.
• Prescribe spectacles and perform vision testing.
• Document patient care in the EMR system and code services appropriately.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines for patient care and equipment sterilization.
