Job summary

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) seeks an Optician to support senior outpatient clinics in Central Valley California, delivering quality vision care directly to underserved communities.

You'll assist in patient intake, eyewear selection, and basic testing, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered service. Opportunities exist to cross-train in audiology and podiatry in a mission-driven healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred.
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• Able to lift and transport equipment, typically 25-50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening.
• Professional, punctual, and able to work independently.
• A heart for serving seniors and underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including {{LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT, IF APPLICABLE}}
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability
