Job summary

Vision To Learn is seeking a Maryland Optician to join our mobile eye clinic team. The role focuses on screenings, fittings, and dispensing glasses to K-12 students in underserved communities, primarily during school hours in Prince George's County.

You will work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, uphold safety protocols, and collaborate with site contacts to deliver accessible eye care that supports learning.

Qualifications

• Optician diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification (COA/COT/NCLE/ABO) preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned mobile eye clinic operation.
• Conduct eye exam pre-tests, maintain professional standards.
• Take measurements, fit and adjust frames for patients.
• Assist patients with frame selections for best fit.
• Complete daily reports and meet deadlines.
• Follow health and safety protocols.
