Job summary
DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors delivering health readiness services for military personnel. The role primarily involves weekend work with occasional weekday hours within the Reserve Health Readiness Program across states.
You will assess, document, and coordinate care for service members, reviewing histories and records, and interviewing individuals to determine current medical concerns. Travel and extended hours are expected.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active NP license in the state.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Experience in primary, urgent care or occupational health preferred.
- Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
- Knowledge of military systems, protocols, terminology preferred.
- Able to work extended hours and travel to remote installations.
Responsibilities
- Support physical health assessments of military personnel.
- Review health history, records, and medical questionnaires.
- Interview service members to assess medical concerns.
- Identify urgent issues including behavioral health concerns.
- Document results for readiness classification in the service member’s file.
