Job summary

Atrium Health CNSA is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and operate MRI scanners with proficiency. This role supports a broad range of brain and spine imaging services across the CNSA facilities.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, order verification, IV contrast administration, and close collaboration with Radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify requests and refer discrepancies to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Interview patients for complete medical history and review EMR data for pertinent history.
• Assume responsibility for the exam from start to dictation of results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per departmental protocols and document amounts.
