Job summary

Parkland Health seeks a Mobile Medical Unit Driver to operate and maintain the unit, support clinical staff during scheduled clinic sessions, and ensure vehicle safety and readiness.

Schedule details include 10-hour shifts over a 4-day rotating schedule. Candidates should have at least 3 years of driving or customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, with a Texas Commercial Class A or B license and CPR training within three months of employment.

Qualifications

• Must have three years of related driving experience and/or customer service experience, preferably in a medical/healthcare setting.
• Patient registration experience preferred.
• Completion of coursework toward an accredited medical terminology or medical assistant certification preferred.
• Medical Office Assistant experience or training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle is clean, fueled, and secure.
• Drive Mobile Medical Unit to clinic sites and maintain safe, efficient operations.
• Assist medical staff with laboratory equipment and maintain safety of equipment, staff, and patients.
• Maintain assigned reports and ensure accuracy of information.
• Assist with stocking and inventory of supplies and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Provide patient and family assistance with directions, inquiries, and information; maintain privacy and confidentiality.
