Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Medical Equipment Cleaning Technician to join the Edgewood Clinical Engineering Team. The role involves cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, testing, and documenting mobile equipment used throughout the health system, ensuring safety and readiness for patient care.

Shift is Full Time (40 hours, first shift). The position supports Clinical Engineering, Nursing, and Supply Chain, with emphasis on reducing downtime and maintaining equipment availability in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written procedures.
• Associate degree or BMET Certification preferred.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, inspect, function test/troubleshoot, and prepare mobile medical equipment.
• Deliver, retrieve, transport, stage, and distribute equipment across facilities.
• Perform equipment inspections and basic functional checks.
• Document cleaning activities and equipment movements in systems.
• Maintain turnaround times and service levels for patient care.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and related materials.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities.
