Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY is seeking a Medical Equipment Cleaning Technician to join the Clinical Engineering Team. This is a full-time, first-shift role (40 hours).

The technician will clean, disinfect, inspect, test, and troubleshoot mobile medical equipment to ensure safety and readiness for patient care across the health system. Documentation, transport, and inventory duties are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, inspect, function test/troubleshoot, and prepare mobile medical equipment per instructions and infection prevention guidelines.
• Deliver, retrieve, transport, stage, and distribute equipment across facilities and offsite locations.
• Perform equipment inspections and basic functional checks to identify issues needing Clinical Engineering evaluation.
• Document cleaning activities, equipment movement, service, and inventory in departmental systems.
• Maintain turnaround times and service levels to ensure equipment availability for patient care.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, disinfectants, tags, and related materials.
