Job summary

SSTAR in Fall River, MA is seeking an entry level Medical Assistant Mobile/ Outreach Worker for a hybrid schedule. You will conduct outreach among vulnerable populations, provide harm reduction services, and assist providers to meet patients’ medical needs on the medical RV and in the community.

Duties include taking vital signs, coordinating care, overdose education, naloxone distribution, and referrals while keeping up with HIV/HCV/STI/SUD trends.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant certification required.
• RMA certification preferred or ability to pass within 90 days (fee covered).
• Current CPR certification required.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and nurses to perform medical care.
• Work across settings: medical RV, community, and clinic onsite.
• Take vital signs and coordinate care for patient-centered encounters.
• Respond to clinical tasks and support providers and nurses.
