Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service, Inc. provides mobile maintenance and repair support to a utility line clearance contractor. Technicians service light to heavy trucks and equipment, perform routine maintenance, and travel to multiple job sites to repair equipment on site.

A valid CDL is required. Two to four years of mechanic experience or a trade school certification in automotive and diesel repair is preferred. Travel across PA, MD, OH, VA, WV is common; tool ownership is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Two to four years of mechanic experience or a certification in automotive and diesel truck repair from an accredited trade school preferred.
• Candidates may be asked to haul equipment between multiple job sites and travel to various field locations.
• Must be able to provide own tools and work out of a mobile service unit traveling to sites.

Responsibilities

• Service light to heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on specialized equipment (boom trucks, diesel trucks, tractors, excavators, dozers, skidders, chippers).
• Travel to various field locations and corporate office; repair on site.
• Maintain tools and equipment needed for mobile service duties.

Job description

Nature of work involves providing mobile maintenance and repair support to a utility line tree clearance contractor. Technician duties may include servicing light to medium duty trucks, heavy equipment, and performing routine maintenance on other forms of specialized equipment such as various types of boom trucks, diesel trucks, Tractors, excavators, dozers, trucks, trailers, bunchers, forewarders, skidders, and chippers. Hydraulics experience is a plus. A valid Commercial Driver's License is required. Candidates may be asked to haul equipment and materials between multiple job sites and corporate office location. Candidate will be working out of a mobile service unit traveling to various field locations to provide repairs on site. Candidate must be able to provide own tools. Two to four years mechanic experience or certification in automotive and diesel truck repair from an accredited trade school is preferred.

Work Schedule: 4 -10 HR days, either; Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday with periods of mandatory overtime. Employees are also required to work emergency storm duty as need arises.

Rate of Pay: Varies depending upon Skills and Experience.

Work Area: Travel required throughout various states including PA, MD, OH, VA, & WV Candidates must be flexible to travel when called upon since work locations are subject to change upon short notice based on contract demands.
