Mobile Mechanic
Location: Fredericksburg/Fairfax/Manassas

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Mobile Mechanic to join our team. This role requires expertise in the petroleum industry, power take-offs (PTOs), and pumps. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment on-site, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and brake inspections.
  • Repair or replace dysfunctional parts, including engines, transmissions, and pumps.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the petroleum industry.
  • Maintain and repair equipment used in petroleum operations, including pumps and PTOs.
  • Travel to clients' locations to perform diagnostics and repairs.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their vehicle issues and explain necessary repairs.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Process and file service tickets, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions or escalating issues as necessary.
  • Ensure quality customer service, including prompt response and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in mechanics or petroleum industry are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on mobile services.
  • Knowledge of the petroleum industry, including equipment and safety regulations.
  • Experience with PTOs and hydraulic pumps.
  • Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic systems and repair techniques.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.
  • Certifications in automotive repair and petroleum industry safety are preferred.
