Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a ProSolutions Mission Critical Technician, West, to travel extensively across the country, performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of fleet equipment. The role emphasizes downtime reduction, fleet readiness, and customer collaboration.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years as a heavy equipment technician, possess a complete tool set, and can manage long periods on the road with safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, preferably in field service roles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Herc branches and job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Prioritize service in high-impact areas and support for large projects.
• Diagnose and service fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and propane systems.
• Repair and replace parts to restore safe operation.
• Educate local teams and customers on proper usage and maintenance.
• Maintain safety protocols and organize work areas.
