Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment and provide high-quality imaging for screening and diagnostic purposes. The role requires ensuring correct positioning, safety protocols, and patient education throughout the imaging process.

Eligible candidates must have ARRT certification/registration in Mammography, be within one year of ARRT certification if not yet certified, and hold a valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the ARRT or JRCERT is required.
• Registration with the ARRT is required.
• Certified or obtain ARRT certification in Mammography within one year of hire.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record where applicable.
• If working in North Dakota, licensure through the NDMIRT Board is required.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment and perform screening and diagnostic examinations.
• Ensure proper body positioning and image quality while following radiation safety standards.
• Educate patients on mammography and explain procedures; assist before, during, and after exams.
• Maintain records and update medical history related to mammography.
• May perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and DEXA procedures as needed.
